We are running into sync issues configuring replication for a Centos 7 server. After deploying it sits at 0% replication and throws the above error. We have checked connectivity to the configuration server and confirmed it can connect to 443 and 9443.

We removed it from Azure SRM and manually installed and registered the mobility agent - it successfully connects, but ends up throwing the same error and fails to replicate.

Is anyone able to help out with some troubleshooting steps to get to the bottom of this? I found a post with the same error that was resolved by removing a duplicate/stale entry on the configuration server, but as the configuration server was an ovf deployment we don't have credentials to login to mysql to check if this is the cause.
