I have decided on a VM to buy on Azure. I now need to find a disk which can go along with that VM based on IOPS. How do I do the same?

The IOPS data found for the disks is mentioned in different units and that mentioned for a VM are in a different units.

Lets take a look at the the VM "Standard_D2s_v3" and standard SSD disks.

vm支持最高3200 IOPS /  48 MBps。标准ssd磁盘中最接近的匹配是E6,其具有240 IOPS / 50 MIB(52.5 MB)。受吞吐量限制。如果您的应用程序使用较少的吞吐量和较高的IOPS,那么您可以获得更高的数字(如
E10)。网络应用程序(如在线购物)需要较高的IOPS,但可以通过较少的吞吐量来维持。   您的应用程序仅决定IOPS和吞吐量之间的平衡。

That vm supports upto 3200 IOPS /  48 MBps. The closest match in the standard ssd Disk is E6 which has 240 IOPS / 50 MIB (52.5 MB). Limited by throughput here. If your application uses less throughput and high IOPS, Then you can go for higher numbers(Like E10). Web apps(like online shopping) will need high IOPS but can sustain with less Throughput.   Your Application only decides the balance between IOPS and throughput.

Converting from Mib to MB might be little annoying. But the difference is small.
