Hey SharePoint Fam!

I have a problem with a custom list i built that is allowing users to use the system incorrectly.  There are 4 date fields in the list which all need to be in format M/DD/YYYY (3/6/2019).  Some users are using the sytsem and putting in just 3/6 which will break the system.  Is it possible to add some kind of column validation for each field to make sure the year is added or a javascript snippet?
