Hi All,

I am having an issue in my web application when adding the user to the people picker, System says sorry we are having trouble reaching the server while adding user to the SharePoint. And all the users are facing access issue.

I have tried all possible steps as described below but no luck.

- Tried deactivating/activating .NET HTTP Activation.

- Did iisreset and server restart, recycled app pool and web site.

-  Extended and deleted the extension in web application.

Could you please help me?

Hi Manoj,

To narrow down this issue, let's verify the followings:

1. Did you have trusted domains other than the default SharePoint domain?

2. Did you configure Alternative Access Mapping (AAM) for the web application?

3. Do others site collections which are hosted at other web applications have this issue?

4. Please check the CPU and memory of your SharePoint server, and make sure they are enough.

Also please capture a ULS log trace of when you attempt to add users to the SharePoint Group, it should give more information about this error.
