We have large SharePoint 2013 environment and advanced topology defined for Search service application and as part of recently we noticed the index partition drive(e.g, E:\Indexlocation) is growing too large and left with 1.2 GB/ 579 GB (2 index partitions with same level of storage). And current total searchable items are : 16,725,624 and there is no interruption to the crawl schedules as all the incremental are running fine.

Could you please let us know how do we calculate the index drive storage estimations for better availability and optimization on storage drives.
