I developed a SSAS tabular data model that uses a few lists as sources along with information from a data warehouse. This worked great (a long as you can live with many credential pop-ups every time you publish) until I got to setting up the job to refresh the data.

When I right click on the source and "Refresh Credentials" and use an Office 365 service account (a workflow account that we know the password won't change for) it appears that it keeps the credentials for maybe 30 minutes? If I run the job right away the model refreshes. If I run it an hour later the model fails with a credential related error.

Is there any way to allow the credentials set for SharePoint lists to be valid for a SQL Server job? Or use powershell to set them periodically.

It seems that credential didn't save in datasource , if you specify a windows account in it. You might need to use service account or current windows account to see whether it works or not.

In addition, if you want to use SQL Server agent job to process it(jobs run under the service account. The default account for SQL Server Agent is NT Service\SQLAgent
