My team would like to deploy a web api we didn't write to Azure web services. 

It's configuration requires a path to a .dbk file for storage.

Hi Antonio,

What is the database technology you are using with your solution? Is this a database backup for dBASE? If you have the installation media, you could build out an IaaS platform using Azure Virtual Machines and install the database software to the Virtual Machines. I did not see a pre-configured dBASE image in the Azure Marketplace.

With the software installed to a VM you will have access to the file system as you currently do with your on-premise solution. If you deploy a PaaS database instance, you will not have direct access to the file system. You can upload/download media to an Azure Blob Storage instance and ingest media files through REST API but, with a VM, you will have direct access to the file system.
