Wanted to report a bug with the latest version of SSMS 18. I have to use the "RUNAS" command to connect to a SQL 2012 server in order to connect using my AD account. This works fine when accessing one server, but when I try to connect to a second server using a sql login, in this same instance of SSMS, the "Connect to database" window appears and acts like it's trying to connect. It hangs, cancel does not work. Leaving it open for a long time, it does nothing (over an hour).
This problem does not occur when opening SSMS without the "RUNAS" command. Furthermore, when in the "RUNAS" mode and double clicking the server from the "registered" server list, connects to the server and it appears in the Object explorer. I can expand to view tables and other objects, but when right-clicking and selecting "new query" or any action that causes a query window to open, then this bug appears again.
Hope you can fix this, been using SSMS this way for years now.
