I am using SharePoint 2013, in this I have a number of text data type fields on the infopath form. After certain limit column are not get adding as column. I tried to publish the form but causing error popup message 'cannot update library or list'. I did the google search but it showing their is some boundary limit in SharePoint to add the column in SharePoint.

When you promote fields to columns you bounded to the limits of the sql-database.
