Is there a way to change the background color of an item in a compartmentshape programmaticaly?

I have a compartmentshape in a dsl diagram and would like to change the background color of compartmentshape items if a specific situation occurs.

I use the Visual Studio 2013 Visualization and Modeling SDK.
