Unfortunately, I have two major issues after installing Debugger Canvas:

1.  Performance of the VS2010 IDE becomes even more sluggish.

2.  I can't debug with or without the Debugger Canvas; the program just doesn't run.

I have to uninstall it and hope normal debugging returns.  It's a shame, I really liked the idea of this!

UPDATE:  Even after uninstalling the extension, i cannot debug.  Hitting F5 brings up the output window, but the project does not build (it's skipped) nor does it run.  It is selected to be build in the build configuration.

 

Any ideas?

Hi rht341, I don't know why the extension is causing problems, but to help you restore your VS installation to a working state please make sure you uninstall the "VS Fragments" package as well.  In fact, you can even "brute-force" uninstall them by deleting these two directories from your hard drive:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\Extensions\Microsoft\Debugger Canvas
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\Extensions\Microsoft\VS Fragments
