My Joule device recently updated (via Windows Update) to 15026. When it decides to boot (see https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/583fa2b4-e1b6-49f4-a857-40c41f74d683/with-the-latest-build-on-joule-it-reboots-constantly-with-stop-code-criticalprocessdied?forum=WindowsIoT) I attempt to go about my business of writing/debugging my software. Prior to updating to 15026, I was able to debug applications. Now whenever I try to debug/deploy via F5 in Visual Studio it appears to deploy to the device just fine but the debugger hangs and eventually pops up a dialog that says

The network connection to <IP ADDRESS HERE>:8117 has been lost. Debugging will be aborted.

OK

In the case of trying to debug the blinky application, the screen displays a black screen with a white square and a white X in the square. So I know the debugger is attached long enough to start the application.
Any suggestions on why the connection is being lost?

Hi C-Coder,
I suspect the board is actually shutting down components. I replied in your other thread on the same topic that you might consider following intel's trouble shooter steps for the Joule. The behavior you describe could be either a bad power supply or an overheating chip. If you are able to isolate it with intel, you may want to investigate returning that board.
