Based on my research, it appears that one way to connect the tablet to older projectors is to buy the Samsung Series 9 Micro HDMI to Vga adapter. However it seems that the micro hdmi port is disabled when the Samsung pc is docked.

Is there a way to enable the micro hdmi port when the pc is docked? What other options are available to connect the slate to the projector? I already tried IOGear's GUWAVKIT2 wireless kit but the drivers don't work on windows 8 release preview ( Had my slate crash multiple times until I uninstalled the drivers).

Its not practical to expect projectors to have hdmi so vga is usually the safest bet. Please advise.
