I'm having issues with markers/chapters not consistently working when exporting my videos.

I'm trying to add markers to an existing .WMV file, so that the user can quickly navigate to predefined chapters when watching the video. 'Sounds simple enough...

So... I import my .WMV file, I select the "apply source encoding settings" since I don't want to recompress the video/audio streams, and I add my markers. All the markers show up properly above the timeline and in the metadata/markers panel.

I then "encode" the movie, and I try to play back the exported file using an external video player (windows media player, media player classic, VLC, etc.)

Unfortunately, the chapters I created with the markers are not always available when playing theexported movie ; it's actually fairly inconsistent, and I end up with either 0 or 2 chapters functional :-?

If I try to import the exported movie in Expression Encoder, the markers still appear correctly, so I guess the encoding is somehow working, but the markers aren't picked up properly by any of the common video players.

I must be missing something ! Any help would be greatly appreciated :) Any ideas ?

Does it work as exspected if you use a profile other then the "source" profile?
