I realize that Samsung's SUR40 multi-touch table with Microsoft PixelSense is no longer being manufactured, but I'm still developing for it. I read a thread from about three years ago regarding the SUR40's unreliable recognition of byte tag objects. The main remedy seemed to be re-calibration using the official black/white "doormat" that came with the unit. Does anyone have any other ideas? The link to the old thread is below.

This is an old thread now so hopefully you found a resolution, we calibrated our surface the other day without the mat though and the results are astonishing.

We took two large white sheets of paper from a flip chart and held them tight either side of the bezel ensuring they didn't touch the screen for the white part and for the black side we left the screen uncovered.  We tried covering with a sheet of blackout material however this resulted in the touch interface having no sensitivity and it detected nothing.
