I want to run my UI application on Windows 2012 Server core. But the application needs oledlg.dll which is missing on Server Core (which is expected as it is a bare minimum OS).

Still if i want to run my application on Server core i need a way to place oledlg.dll on Server Core.

Please suggest the way to place oledlg.dll.

Note: when i build my application with Visual Studio 2005 i don't see this problem. Only when i build it VS 2010 Oledlg.dll missing issue is seen.

Hi,

I would suggest to ask inside some technet forums covering Server 2012 core. This forum covers the developer documentation and ms help system only.

In general you could try to copy missing files form one system to the other but I am not really sure that this is successfull. The Server core is meant to run without a GUI if I understood the concept correctly. So why do you want to run a GUI Application on it?
