Correct me please, if I'm wrong (hope so).

A friend of mine told me that when I install WP8.1 SDK on my VS 2013 I'm no more able to develope Apps for WP7/8, only WP8.1. Is this correct? Due to this info I'm delaying with the install of the WP8.1 SDK. Do I need a virtual system to develope for both plattforms?

You can develop both Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 apps with Visual Studio 2013 Update 2. When you create a Windows Phone Silverlight app you can choose to target Windows Phone 8 or Windows Phone 8.1

You can run older versions of Visual Studio side-by-side with the latest if you want to target Windows Phone 7.
