Your WP7.5 app will simply work on WP8 (for the most part, there are some small incompatibilities described in the documentation).  It won't be able to use any WP8-specific APIs though.

If you want to build a specific WP8 version, you will need to install Windows 8 64-bit and the Windows Phone 8 SDK.
