Hi All,

Why so complicated?

Use performance counters to examine whether Biztalk Host Instances are active
Webservice relies on IIS is up and running and can give false results (iis might be down but not BTS)

To ensure message flow you can set your message to wait for ack message from receiver
If not edifact or x12 might require custom code
