Hi,

I have submitted an alpha sample game for the team [e-mail] for testing purposes.

Initially I  tick the game category and also the Xbox target but the dashboard prevent me to submit.

So I choose the Entertainment category and submit the sample game without expose to any user.

Unfortunately, it was rejected with advice that I re-submit with the Game box ticked and Xbox unchecked.

But now the Game category box was gone!

Please advice what should we do to get a sample out for [e-mail] team for testing only?

Deleting the submission do not bring back the game tick box.

If I delete the name/app entirely and later re book the name again; would the Game category become available?

Please help, this game submission is confusing.

Hi Jimmy,

Please note two points about Game category:

>Initially I  tick the game category and also the Xbox target but the dashboard prevent me to submit

If you choose Games for your category, a subcategory is required.

>Unfortunately, it was rejected with advice that I re-submit with the Game box ticked and Xbox unchecked

You can't choose the Games category in an update to an app that you previously published in a different category (Entertainment).

For more details, you can refer to Category and subcategory table.

>If I delete the name/app entirely and later re book the name again; would the Game category become available?

Now you need to reserve a separate app name (you can reuse the old name but you need to delete it first) in Dashboard and resubmit your testing game under that app overview page.

If it helps, you might "Mark it answer" so that other community can know how to deal with the same issue conveniently.
