I bought VS2008 Pro with MSDN Pro subscription ~3 years ago while working as an independent.

Though I haven't searched it for whether a subscription has to be active to be transferred, I do know that you cannot transfer only a portion of a subscription to another person. If you're going to sell your subscription, the copy of VS 2008 and the few extra products you've found need to go to the buyer, but also, you have to give them all of the keys you've ever claimed on the subscription, and you have to uninstall all software you've installed from that original subscription, and all dvds you got with it.
