Hi,

I am currently VSO to build and deploy some projects, and I found a extension in the store that can load json into custom variables, which lets me find the current version and use it for zipping etc.

But when I go to the overview of builds and releases, it is quite hard to see which version is deployed to each environment as they are named based on date and revision. Is there a way to use my custom variables in the build/release names?

So instead of "Release-$(rev:r)" I would like something like "$(custom_version)-$(rev:r)" so I can easily spot which version is on what environment?

if you can use any of the predefined variables filled with infos from the build.
