I'm a new user of kinect v2.0.

I got the problem of low frame rate and even at low velocity the sensor loss the following.

When I connect my kinect to the motherboard integrated USB 3.0, the color works, but I get low frame rate in the verifier and in the 3D builder program.

When I connect it through the dedicated card, with its drivers instaled (for the XHCI controller), i get low rate and no color (it is worse than in the above case). I tested this card also in a PCI X16 slot, but it is not recognized by my system. I als activated both: EHCI and XHCI on my BIOS. But it does't solve my problem.

For your reference:
The Kinect for Windows v2 SDK will not function without a DirectX 11 compatible graphics card. Lower end DirectX 11 cards will likely function, but at degraded frame rates.

The current Windows Update NVidia driver causes a number of issues which are fixed by the most recent WHQL NVidia driver from the NVidia website. The easiest to identify an issue is to look for a return that contains all zeros in the Infrared stream. If you are running an NVidia graphics card, ensure that you have the latest WHQL driver installed from NVidia’s website.

If you're adding USB 3.0 functionality to your existing PC through an adapter, please ensure that it is a Windows 8 compliant device and that it supports Gen-2. See the troubleshooting section of Getting Started for more information.

Many laptops switch to a low-power mode that reduces GPU performance when operating without external power. If you plan to work on a laptop that is operating on battery power, you should disable low-power mode for your GPU. In some cases, the GPU performance is limited while on battery power even when low-power mode is disabled. In this case, you should keep your laptop plugged in while using the Kinect for Windows sensor.

The color data stream is diminished in low light
Under low light conditions, Kinect will fall back to 15 FPS under low light conditions.
