Hi guys, I'm going through a little hell while trying to work with webcam on PI 3 and Windows 10 IoT Core. I'm working on simple picture taking app which uses Azure Cognitive Services for facial recognition. I'm using one of the officially supported cameras - Microsoft LifeCam Studio. However, although it's supported it doesn't seem that is capable of installing proper drivers on it's own. Issues are:

• On the starting page which shows right after boot is cam represented by official name but anywhere else is showing as "USB Video Device"
• Video is low resolution, flickers, lags and displays a lot of horizontal lines 
• Camera is listed with status "unknown" when listing Get-PnpDevices in PowerShell
• Drivers from .CAB cannot be installed due to "Internal Server Error" 
• it's impossible to identify any faces due to all the issues above 

Is there any way how to fix it and install full official drivers? Shouldn't it happen automatically from Windows Update? Is there ARM driver for PI 3 for this cam? I can only find x86 apparently… Thanks for help

Which OS Build did you try on RPi?

I use Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000, and this device works fine with almost every Build version.
