What is the best practice and or standard for SharePoint and CS 2007 integration. Client currently has CS 2007 on a seperate NLB pair. But has been told to move them to be on the same hardware as the SharePoint environment for performance and consolidation reasons. I hear mixed reviews of this idea. Any thoughts? Considerations.

Dont see an issue having them on the same machine, except a serious problem with performance.

The integration with SP2007 came with CS2009, I would not recommend the old white paper on intergrating CS2007 and SP2007. In either case, you have to be on the same machine.

Why dont you upgrade to CS2009? This is fairly risk free, if you just upgrade without integrating to SharePoint.
