Hi,

I have a query regarding IPP Printing in Windows 7 & 2008 R2. When a driver is installed through IPP in Windows 7 or 2008 R2 and print job is fired, the job does not comes to the local spooler. This was not the case in Windows 2003.

Could any tell the difference in IPP printing in Win7 and Win 2003?

Windows 7 is a client operating system, it does not include role services. Instead, it includes the Print Management snap-in. Windows 7 also includes LPD Print Service as an optional Windows feature. You can install LPD Print Service from Control Panel using Programs and Features. Windows 7 does not include the Internet Printing feature or Distributed Scan Server role service.
