We've encountered an issue on Windows Server 2008 Standard where we cannot connect over port 443 to a specific host address, we are trying to post a request using python to this port and not getting a response back, we can connect to other hosts but not this specific one.... although we can access the address in a web browser. The error returned is a socket timeout error: 10060.

Hi Chris,

This forum is for Windows Server 2008 Application and Compatibility. However, as per my understanding, 10060 is connection time-out error. You can try increasing the time-out value, and also make sure that any firewalls, between the server, and the host address, allow TCP connections on the service port.

You can also try posting your issue at Windows Server 2008 R2 Networking, and also at python.
