I have been working on a diagram in Visio Pro for Office 365, for several days moving, attaching, deleting connections points with out any issue.

I was always able to see my points.

Today I open my diagram and cannot see any connection points.

I have the Connection Points option checked off under the View/Visual Aids tab.

If I zoom in on a known shape with points on it, the only way I can tell if a point is there visually is if I hover over it when using the connector tool. The point will change to a green square.

I should see points when I get near a shape when connector option is selected but do not see any.

This has been normal behaviour ever since Visio 2010. If you wave the end of a connector near the shape then all the connection points will show. As far as I'm concerned this is only just acceptable when a normal user is editing a diagram. However, in developer mode you often need to be able so see all the connectors. Not all users need a dumbed-down mode, but this just seems to be the normal way forward recently.
