if you add a component, you don't need to do a complete sysgen (blddemo -q). if you understand the build system you can play with that. you can also build (sysgen) only the corresponding component. say for example if you have added a driver available in public\common\oak\driver, you can just go to the solution explorer and right click the driver and it will show option to do the sysgen(sysgen -p common) as shown in the figure and perform make image, since wincerel=1 is set, the updated driver will be directly copied to release dir.
