I've recently configured user profile  service application on the share point farm. now I was wondering how I can use user profile data ,which are stored in a different database,  in my project server reports.

   While there is a user profile database - I don't think its a supported activity to JOIN it into your reporting database queries.  If I had this requirement I would look into creating a SQL SSIS package to extract the information via the user profile REST interface https://msdn.microsoft.com/EN-US/library/office/dn790354.aspx#bk_UserProfile
