I've come across lots of posts that show how to deal with over-allocation of resources (levelling) using Project server but is there a way to block it entirely?

What I'd really like is to STOP my project managers saving their project plan back to the server if there are any over allocations for resources.

Hi Andy,

It is not possible out-of-the-box. You cannot prevent saving/publishing if there are overallocation. It could be done programatically with some VBA I guess but it might impact Project Pro performance.

I'd rather suggest to put in place a process based on a overallocation report.
