I am a master's student at Swiss German University, BSD, Indonesia. I am working on my thesis about DDoS in Application Layer. One of my topic is to employ Bing Translator as DDoS attack vector toward a victim. I tested Bing Translator that I can use it to attack my own website by opening 5 browser's tab (or more, but in my test I open only 5 tabs) and use Bing Translator to translate my own website in my own server and then loop it for every 5 seconds (I can use for every second, but for this test I put 5 seconds). Less than 1 minute, my server suffered with high CPU load because Bing Translator fetch content from my website. From there, I did not see any control from Bing Translator for this kind attack. Therefore, I propose a solution to make Bing Translator implement a control by checking my propose tag .nofetch. If Bing Translator employed by any user to translate a website and there is a tag .nofetch then Bing Translator will reject the request.

I do not understand the semantics of your proposal. Does it mean that no user agent can ever read anything from your site? What would the purpose of that site be?
