If you chnage the machine commerce server manager will lost all database connection as well lost all configuration settings(MSCS_Admin)

Please follow the below steps if you change the machine name.

Please run the configuration wizard from the command prompt:

C：\Program Files（x86）\ Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 \CSConfig.exe / f

It will reconfigure mscs_admin database to your current system name.
