Is it possible to use EWF with non FAT/NTFS partitions?  Assuming that I will be using EWF RAM setup through the registry.

Say I have a Sata SSD partitioned with 3 partitions, one is linux ext2 and the others are NTFS, is there a way I can (or a need to) enable EWF for the linux partition to prevent a user from writing to that partition inadvertently?

I have never tried this. EWF is setup with ARC path and protects at the volume level. You could just enable it and see what happens.

Can a user see or access the linux ext2 partition via Windows? If not, then extending EWF to protect the partition is not usefull.
