I am trying to use the EWS webservices and service.AutodiscoverUrl(user@mydomain.com) works from inside the firewall resolving to https://domainCASserver/EWS/Exchange.asmx but if I run it from outside the firewall I get "The Autodiscover service could not be located." error.
My CAS server is the same internally and externally and accessible inside and outside the firewall on 80 and 443. How do I configure the proper DNS entry to allow the autodiscover to work in both arenas? If it matters, I have godaddy external DNS.

In my domain I added a SRV for _autodiscover._tcp and also I have CNAMES of autodiscover, mail, webmail, smtp all pointed at a hostname for the external IP address.
I also found some articles referencing "single host certificates" and used them as a guide to modifying the internal and external URLs for the various services.
One more thing, I found that internal discovery is interminably slow, because of the first thing it's looking for: "domain.com" in my case was pointed at my Win2008 (and/or 2008R2) domain controllers which take "forever" to fail an https request, until I figured out to install IIS, a *.domain.com certificate, and an empty SSL website on them. I got my SSL from StartCom by the way,
