Received the following email ....... is this legit?  Why is my password needed?  There are lots of scams out there and I don't just give out my password.  I need to understand why the password is needed?  I supplied all info except password and the reply I received back did not even use proper English which made me more uncomfortable.  I know there are lots of scammers out there and I don't just give out info just because I received an email.   I do like extras that 'live' provides but don't like this.  If you need info then users should be directed to your web site to provide information.  I don't want my account discontinued ..... please email me and explain what is going on and if my account will be discontinued because I didn't provide my password.

This is a phishing scam.  Just delete it using Windows Hotmail... "mark as phishing scam"....   Windows, Windows Live, or any company, will not ask for this kind of information.... they normally already have it......
