I have an interesting problem that seems to be brought about by the latest WinCE 6 update, WinCEPB60-111231-2011M12-Armv4I.msi.

After I install the update I copy a file to the device via activesync which works fine. If i check the space available on the device the values look ok.

If I reset the device the amount used goes back to zero, even though the file I just copied over exists on the WinCE device. If I use activesync to delete the file it suddenly tells me that there is no room left on the flash. If I create/copy/delete on the device itself then activesync picks up the correct details about the flash size, but this fails again when the system is reset. The device is again listed by activesync as to have no data in the flash, even if I have added files to the unit.

Has anyone else seen this? I 98% sure the 12/11 PB update has caused this because I have gone back and applied each update in turn until the error started again, on my dev VM, and the last update seems to have changes to relating to ExFAT, FSD and MSFlash, all of which I'm using.

The latest update indeed contain changes in the Flash driver. There are changes in the FlashMdd.h. Please check if your platform specific driver is using this. May be a rebuilt of the PDD may help. I would even try formatting the flash with this new driver.
