I am developing an add-in for the Communicator Client that uses the registry to add a menu item that calls an external application. In the "Communicator 2007 Deployment Guide" it discusses being able to pass %user-id% and %contact-id% to this application. I have been successful at passing user-id, however, when I try to pass contact-id the external application fails to start. I have been unable to find any documentation that describes the available options or what I am doing wrong. Ideally, I would like to pass to the external application the id of all clients that are in the chat window that this application is launched. I assume this is what the contact-id parameter is used for. I would then like to send each one of those contacts a custom message in the same chat window. Is this even possible?

As far as I know, passing the contact ID only works for Tabs not for extending the context menus.
