I am to design a small project management application using microsoft surface WPF controls. Through researching a few different methods it looks like I'm going to need to design a schedule view sort of control on which users can drag and drop 'appointments' - but I must design the schedule view using surface controls for drag drop functionality to work. Is this a huge task? What controls would you advise I use? I'm going to need 'slots' for each 15 minutes for each day for example so will I need to repeat a control for this? Any help at all seriously appreciated!!

It depends which control you want to order to achive your task. In Surface SDK 2.0 there are controls which embeded drag and drog feature like the lIbrary container. If not you can use the class DragDropScatterView as a starting point. This class is in teh SDk sample for shoping basket.
