I wrote a simple application using the speech API that converted text to speech. It ran fine for several weeks and then just stopped working. It fails on the authentication step. After a little investigation I discovered that Microsoft appears to have changed the licensing for using the API and now has limited transactions to a very small number per hour and a maximum of 5000 transactions per month. Originally the limit was 2 million. This limitation eliminates the possibility of using this service for my project and is pretty disappointing. Nevertheless, I attempted to generate new keys, since my existing keys stopped working and it says I have exceeded the plan limit. But that's simply not so. There is no way I've exceeded the daily limit, or the monthly limit. So what's the deal? Has Microsoft dropped the program completely? How about a little notice before changing the program limits? Thank goodness I didn't release this into a production environment (although the serivce is "beta"). Can someone give me an update? Or should I go back to using AT&T Watson (which is free)?

I had to completely remove the Speech APIs from my Azure portal and re-request. Now things are working again.
Anyone know when this will come out of beta and whether the transaction maximums will change? Can we purchase a significant number of transactions for a small fee? AT&T is
