Hi all,

I am trying to figure out how to check an incoming/outgoing call to see if the call is an IM or a Phone call.  Basically, I have an application sitting on my PC where the OCS client is installed.  I want to be able to check if a call i make or recieve is phone cal or an IM.  Based on this, i have some other logics to perform.  So far, I can't see anything in Communicator Automation API that would allow me to do this.  So, please help me and point me to the right direction.  Thanks.

You can get an event when the Conversation Window is created using the OC automation API, but there is no foolproof way to tell what modes (IM, voice, video) are being used in the conversation.  You can get the list of participants in the conversation and if one of them is a phone number, then you could assume that it's a phone call, but this is far from certain since calls to or from people on the contact list will have names instead of numbers.
