I'm wondering if anyone can help i can't get the Search Express to work on any of my Windows 2003 servers R2 Standard Edition SP1.

When i execute the exe file it foes as if its extracting then i get a popup saying  The installation of this package failed Can someone from MS help

I have a similar install issue

 

I also have WSS 3.0 with SP1, when I run the Search Server Express 2008 install I get the msg

 

Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error :
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=103318
Correct the issue listed above and re-run setup.

 

The article mentions that SP1 needs to be installed before Sharepoint 2007 SP1 but I am only using WSS 3.0.
