I am trying to use an object bu using .net remting through TCP , but keep on gettin error 10061 saying the"no connection, the target machine has actively refused it" can any one help me out??

the good news is that the connection is being made successfully, it is then being refused by the server.  I haven't been able to reproduce this problem though so I have some questions

can you get the server and client successfully connecting on the same machine?
what port are you using?
can you open a connection on that port using telnet ?
