I would like to use a Visio diagram to filter a list in Sharepoint. The basics work fine, the drawing is connected to the list so when clicking on a shape in the Visio drawing the list is filtered accordingly. So far so good.

Now, what I want to do is the following:

1. When I go to the page for the first time I would like the list to be unfiltered. Default now is that the list is empty until I click one of the Visio shapes.

2. I would like to be able to clear the filter so all list items are shown again. Preferably by having a "Show all" shape in Visio.

Does anyone know if and how it can be done? Preferably without too much of scripting and hacking.

Hi,

 

Based on my test, the Visio access web part has no filter value when the page loads, so the list view web part can’t display any results.

Only when we click a shape, the filter could send value to list view web part, then, list view web part will render results based on filter value.
