I got to this page by pressing 'send feedback' on the Kinect configuration verifier.  It looks like a damned odd way to provide Microsoft with feedback, but one has to assume they know what they are doing.  So here goes

1.  It's a brand new install of W8.1 on an Z97 mother board with an intel chipset.  What on earth do you mean by "unknown USB3 port detected"?  it seems pretty standard to me.

2.  Following the link for system requirements takes me to a page that says I need a 'Dedicated USB 3.0 controller'.  I have no idea what that means.  Are you saying that if I use one of the Motherboard's 4 USB3 ports for the Kinect I can't use the other 3?  What am I suppesed to understand by 'USB 3.0 controller'?  the whole hub?
