When I launch the "Component Database  Manager" supplied with the evaluation version of WES I get:
(local)\SQLEXPRESS as the Database server location.

I want that my database will be located on a network drive that is accessed from 2 PCs.

When I tried changing the location to d:\temp\SQLEXPRESS I got the error:
Cannot connect to databse at 'd:\temp\SQLEXPRESS'. Please verify your database location.

How can I change the location of the databse contains all components ?

It sounds to me like you want to move your database to another server. If you do not need to keep the current local database you can simply install a new database to your other server. Once you install to your other server you can change the Database server location. 

Here are some steps you can take:

1.    Refer to the Installation guide for instructions to install a new database. 

1.    Start -> Programs -> Microsoft Windows Embedded Studio -> Documentation -> Windows Embedded Standard Platform

2.    In the Contents look for Installation Guide -> Custom Installation

2.    Install the database to your new server

3.    Now you can change the Database server location on your first machine where you installed Windows Embedded Studio.

1.    See the online help by pressing F1 in the Component Database Manager

2.    Basically you will change the Database server location using this syntax:

<MachineName>\<InstanceName>, for example, MyMachine\MyInstanceOfSQL.

4.    Repeat step 3 for any other computers with Windows Embedded Studio.
