I download the Typescript tools for visual studio 2015 and installed.

The Tools => Extensions and Updated shows that it is actually installed.

However, there is nothing Typescript project in the New Project, only javascript project there

My visual studio is 2015 update 3, what should I do to get the template? I have re-installed it for several times and nothing changed.

What’s version of typescript tool you installed? have you tried to install other version of this tool for a test?

I tried to repro your issue with a same environment (VS 2015 update 3 and typescript tool 3.1.1) in my side. There are my creation steps, you’d better check every step for eliminating something missing.

Go to Tool - Extension and Updates – online – search "typescript" – download "typescript tool 3.1.1" –close VS 2015 - run this extension in local folder – re-run VS2015 after installing works – create a new project to check this type, here is screenshot as below:

If there is same as me. Please follow the below steps to troubleshoot it:

1. Check the flag in upper right corner of IDE if some pending update could be installed. if so, please update it.
2. Go to control panel – program list – right click "VS 2015 update 3" –choose "change" – "repair" to repair it then re-open VS for a test.
