I am looking to work on some TFS Extensions for our TFS server. We are running TFS 2017 Update 1, and I'm specifically looking for extension points on the Release pages. There is some documentation around Extension points here (https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/docs/integrate/extensions/reference/targets/overview) however this is quite a bit out of date, and it is lacking as far as what Types go with what targets.. so I am having some struggles. I've looked at the GitHub vsts-extensions-example (https://github.com/Microsoft/vsts-extension-samples) and while that is a good step, it doesn't seem to have a complete set of targets and types.. Is there any set of documentation that is up to date and complete for TFS Extensions?

I want to put an item in the Release Definitions page, next to "Overview Releases Deleted" if possible, looking at the html it looks like this is ms.vss-releaseManagement-web.hub-explorer. Trying to find a target and a type to fit in there.

It is not possible to add a hub extension at the same level as "Overview", "Releases" and "Deleted" hub. The link you provided above:
