管理员用户名问题是Windows 7/2008的事情。如果哟你手动安装它们，它会让你创建一个管理员以外的用户，所以模板部署的东西也需要它。

I have created a so-called 'golden' VM (in my case with W7 Pro) and first did it without the prep tool and followed the instructions in this section:
- To first convert a VM into a template and then store it in the library
So far, so good.
Next step was to create me an environment from this template as instructed here:

Unfortunately in this section no screenshot is shown of the 'Machine Properties' section. In this section you have to enter a local Administrator account for that machine, but if you really want to use 'Administrator', the user interface doesn't accept it and doesn't give any warning?!?!? So I used 'Admin' instead.
In this same section, you have to tell to add it to a domain and specify domain, account & password for it, which I did and test and was OK.
Finally I started the deployment.
Once it was finished, I started the new VM and to my surprise it was not in the domain at all?!?!? My regional settings (Belgian Dutch) and other personal changes to Task Bar, Start Button, Explorer properties (show extensions, hidden files,...) where gone?!?!?
So I had to log in first (with another keyboard layout :-( ), manually enter the VM in the domain , change regional settings,....
Surely this can't be the way to do it?
So I made a 2nd attempt with the VM prep tool and started from a VM already in the domain, but when I deployed that one from the Lab Environment setup, same story?!?!?
Am I overlooking something? Or doing something wrong?
Highly appreciate any kind of feedback as not much details can't be found yet on the internet :-(

The Administrator username issue is a Windows 7/2008 thing. If you install them manually, it makes you create a user other than Administrator so the template deployment stuff will need it as well.
When you create a template it runs SysPrep on the machine. Sysprep is used to 'generalize' machine images; removing any user specific settings. However there is a setting for 'run once' scripts where you could run a script that configured the machine to your liking after deploying.
The other option is storing just a VM to the library but that gets a little flaky when you start copying that machine a lot. Virtually impossible to do if you're using a domain outside your lab environment.
For me, the defaults are fine so I can't offer any advice on scripting those settings.
