I have an environment in my Lab Center with 4 Hyper Vs.  I am using the LabDefaultTemplate out of the box.  I am restoring the environment from a snapshot.  I get very unreliable results with this on.  Sometimes it works.  Other times the various agents are unable to load on the Hyper-Vs.  However if I stop the build and wait for a few minutes I can repair the capabilities and the environment is just fine.

How can I get the restore snapshot to work reliably?  My guess is that there is a timing issue and perhaps I should pause the build between the restore and the deploy.

Can you help me in understanding what you mean by "Various agents are unable to load on the Hyper-Vs" ? Do you mean the Visual studio test agent or TeamFoundation Build service host or some other agent that is needed for your application under test ?

Does your "WorkFlow Capability" and "Testing Capability" go to "Ready" state within few minutes ( 5-10) minutes after restore ? The LabDefaultTemplate has an in built timeout and repair logic and hence you need not be doing anything extra.
